You are the cosmos experiencing itself. The human form is the instrument, not the musician. To be more than human is to remember that you are the consciousness that plays the instrumentthe silent awareness behind thought, the boundless space that holds emotion, the eternal witness that observes the fleeting drama of birth, growth, and change. This shift from identifying as the character in the story to knowing yourself as the author of the story is the first step into a vaster existence. Cultivate this by resting in the gaps between thoughts, in the stillness before reaction. Here, you touch the infinite that you truly are.
Embrace your humanity not as a limitation, but as the sacred clay through which the divine sculpts. To be more than human is not to reject your flesh, feelings, or frailty, but to infuse them with sacred purpose. See your compassion not merely as a social virtue, but as the universe caring for itself through your hands. View your creativity not as a personal hobby, but as the primal creative force of existence expressing a unique facet through your being. In this way, every mundane act becomes a ritual, and your human life becomes a living temple for the transcendent.
Dissolve the fortress of the separate self. The feeling of being "just a human" arises from the stark boundary you draw between "me" and "not me." Spiritual wisdom directs you to soften and ultimately dissolve this boundary. Feel your breath as the exchange between your body and the atmosphere, realizing there is no true line where "you" end and the air begins. Feel empathy so deeply that another's joy becomes your joy, another's pain resonates in your heart as a call to love. In interconnectedness, you transcend the small, isolated human self and participate in the unified field of being, becoming a conscious node in the web of life.
Align your will with a Higher Harmony. The purely human will is often driven by personal desire, fear, and ambition. To move beyond this, practice surrendering your personal agenda to a deeper intelligence call it Life, the Tao, Divine Order, or the innate wisdom of the heart. It is not about passivity, but about attunement. Ask not, "What do I want?" but "What wants to happen through me?" or "What does Life ask of me here?" This transforms action from being self-serving to being service, and you become a conscious agent of a grace that is far greater than individual humanity.
Remember that you are a verb, not a noun. You are not a static "human being," but a perpetual process of "becoming." Your essence is not a fixed identity, but a flowing, evolving awareness. To be more than human is to consciously participate in this endless becoming—to allow old versions of yourself to die, to welcome new understandings, to expand your sense of belonging until it includes all of existence. You are a localized event in the unfolding story of the universe, a story that is continuously transcending itself. In embracing your own boundless potential for growth, love, and understanding, you step into the truth that you were never just human to begin with.
Remember, off you go and find the wonders within
